Cleansing And Caring For Your Dzi

Cleansing your Dzi stone is essential when you first receive it. It's important to clear any residual energies from its previous owner and establish a personal connection with the stone.

Here's how to do it:

Initial Cleansing:

  • Rinse the Dzi under running water for a few minutes. Using natural sources like streams or rivers is ideal, but a sink at home is also suitable. Maintain positive thoughts throughout this process.

  • After rinsing, dry the Dzi and hold it between your palms as though you are praying. Touch your thumb tips to the tip of your nose, then quietly and sincerely invite the stone to become a part of your life. Request its protection and promise to care for it respectfully.

Energising the Stone:

  • Place the Dzi stone in sunlight for several hours to cleanse and energise it. Alternatively, moonlight can be used for a gentler energy infusion.

Regular Cleansing Rituals:

To keep your Dzi free from built-up negative energies, perform a cleansing ritual at least once a month. You can use any of the following methods:

1. Moonlight Bath:

Let your Dzi rest outside under a full moon to harness the moon's energy for gentle empowerment.

2. Earth Burial:

Bury your Dzi in the earth on the night of a full moon for thorough cleansing and recharging.

3. Spiritual Practices:

Engage in prayer, chanting (such as "Om Mani Padme Om"), or simply sending positive energy to your Dzi to enhance its protective abilities.

Care Tips:

  • Always remove your Dzi before going to bed.
  • When not wearing your Dzi, store it in a high place, above most other objects, as a sign of respect.
